I am currently in my seventh year of teaching English in a public high school in Virginia. Throughout the years, I have striven to make both reading literature and writing meaningful and rewarding. The results have been great at times and not-so-great at other times.
This blog is here because I am constantly searching to improve, and I love sharing what has worked and what hasn’t. While I do know how testing is the bane of the educational system, I do not intend to use this space to constantly complain about it; rather, I honestly acknowledge reality and want to talk about the best way to work within it while trying to change it. In other words, I’m not trying to proclaim myself “innovative” or “out of the box” but want to see how far I can stretch the box.
Thanks for joining me here and I welcome what I hope will be a great conversation.
